Brighton MRC was founded in 1971 and celebrated its 40th birthday on the 7th of October 2011. We currently have around 20 members and always welcome more.

Meetings are every Tuesday (except Bank Holidays and the Tuesday between Christmas and New Year) from 1930 to approx 2200 at London Road Railway Station, Shaftesbury Place (off Ditchling Rise) in Brighton, East Sussex, UK. The clubrooms are in what was originally the Ladies waiting room. We have club layouts in OO, HO gauge and OO9.  Our members have a wide variety of interests ranging from London Brighton and South Coast Railway in O gauge through London & South Western Railway in OO through to the Denver and Rio Grande in N scale and everything in between!

Anyone aged 18 or over is eligible to join, details on the membership page

As well as building and operating our layouts, we run other events throughout the year such as film and slide shows, an annual competition for members models and of course our exhibition in November each year.

Our club rooms are at London Road station which is the first stop out of Brighton on the line to Lewes, Train services are operated by the Southern Railway, with four trains an hour during the day, reduced services evenings and Sundays.  Closest bus stops to the station are on routes 5,5A and 5B in Preston Road / Beaconsfield Road or route 26 in the Ditchling Road. Services are operated by Brighton & Hove, both bus stops are just a few minutes walk away from the station which is signposted.  On street parking is available but is there is now a fee until 2000.
